Oil and Gas Commissioning up is the hard part of the project – nothing can be put off until later! Magma Products Specialise in Dynamic Commissioning and Start-up of offshore hydrocarbon systems. All too often there are major design companies who will complete FEED, Design, Construction and Pre-Commissioning then hand over to the client project team and walk away as the “job is finished”. This leaves the Project team in the position of having a constructed plant that is not operating and the operations team will not accept it until it has been demonstrated and verified.
Commissioning
We have prepared Oil and Gas Commissioning, start-up and operating procedures onshore and have supported the handover to the operations team offshore on many of our projects. Following handover we have started the facilities on behalf of the OIM and provided support and training to the Operations team during the critical first weeks of production while optimising the plant for maximum production and stability.
Start-up
This is our area of expertise, we will work on behalf of the client project team and alongside the main contractor to ensure the facilities are ready to introduce hydrocarbon, we will write and carry out the initial Oil and Gas Start-up procedures and demonstrate the functionality of safety systems, we will assist the Operations team and introduce hydrocarbons into the systems after fully documenting the system status and gaining sanction from the OIM. We will carry out the required dynamic shutdown tests and train the operations team in starting and running the facilities. Once we have steady state operation we optimise the production rates and handover to the operations team a robust facility which they are deemed competent to operate.
